“Our hospital is just overwhelmed by the number of new patients” said nurse Debbie. They are all coming in clutching their chest holding their property tax bills.” When patient Ethyl was asked what happened she said, “I was just getting my mail and I opened my property tax bill and just dropped to the floor that’s when my husband Harry called the ambulance, but they ended up taking both of us because Harry fainted as well.”

“It was insane.” said the hospital director. “At the worst of times we had to route people to Moncton. We even had to change our triage policy, where we now take people with the highest bills first as they are the most gravely impacted.” Also because of their new triage policy, they are currently only treating patients who come in will their bills.

One citizen, Mr. H. Hicks who fainted said he was disappointed. “I went to the hospital as I was feeling so lightheaded after opening my bill but the darn place was closed. What am I paying all these taxes for?”

The RCMP was forced to send out a warning for the citizens to stop calling 911 over their property tax bills. “We can’t deal with this. We are overcome with calls.”, the Sergeant said. He later stated “We just don’t have time to deal with our government crooks, we are too busy with other criminals right now.”
