Many premiers are complaining about the recent plan to send thousands of asylum seekers to various provinces, including sending 4600 to New Brunswick. Immigration minister Marc Miller has said “There’s only so far the federal government can actually be nice and say, ‘Please, please’,” even though many in the media are trying to deny the evidence of this resettlement plan.
There have been many horrific stories of people’s cats being eaten, as well as swans, geese and ducks being taken from parks and eaten, particularly in the US, even though most media companies and search engines have tried to deny this.
So in anticipation of the large influx of new colonizers the Tantramar council has proposed a ban of eating cats. “We thought it would be prudent to get ahead of the curve,” said Mayor Andrew Black. “It’s kind of fortunate that the beloved swans we had in our swan pond died before all this craziness started happening.”
The Climate Change Advisory Committee (CCAC) and Sabine Dietz of CLIMAtlantic stand opposed to this proposal. “We’ve been planning to ban cats from going outside due to the damage they inflict on our local environment but now this issue would be easily taken care of by the asylum seekers.
