Karen Bamford, President of the Mount Allison Faculty Association (MAFA) has finally issued a formal apology to Professor Rima Azar for her suspension without pay back in 2021 for saying Canada was not a racist country. “Prior to this latest study we felt that white people had to give extra assistance to racialized communities because they couldn’t make it on their own. When you think about it that was actually kind of racist.”, Ms. Bamford said.
The Aristotle Institute’s recent study has debunked a lot of the claims about income and education level disparities between races, showing that many other races have equal or higher income and education levels, and are often over-represented in fields such as medicine.
Mount Allison University will also be shutting down all their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and other anti-racism programs. “There’s no point in these programs anymore since we don’t have to worry about racism. We’re also going to set up some new training so the DEI and anti-racism staff can learn to code.”
“However, going forward we will be scanning other private blog sites to find other professors we can condemn such as for using the wrong pronouns. This way the Student Union can still take comfort that we will be maintaining our stance that free speech in all its forms is still banned at this university. We’ve had a long history of cancel culture on this campus so the students can rest assured it will continue.”, Mount Allison said.
