“There’s no way we can track all the plastic pipe we produce, not to mention all the plastic waste during the manufacturing process,” said Mike Wilson, owner of Atlantic Industries (AIL) in a recent Onion interview. “That will be a ton of paperwork and besides have you seen my previous contaminated site in Dorchester? It was easier just to leave it all behind and start fresh in a new location.”

On April 22, 2024 (Earth Day), the Trudeau government introduced a Federal Plastics Registry requiring “plastic resin manufacturers, producers of plastic products, and service providers to report each year on the quantity and types of plastic they put on the Canadian market and how that plastic moves through the economy”.

Mr. Wilson added, “That’s why effectively immediately we’ll be closing the plastics plant in Sackville and only making steel products. Nobody cares if you bury diesel fuel tanks needed for steel products. I don’t need this headache!”
